I’m interested. How do I apply?

To get started, please check out our available Rooms and fill out the application form. If your application is short-listed, our host will reach out to you to schedule a meet and greet with the housemates.

How long will it take to get a response?

We aim to respond to short-listed applicants within 1-2 days of the application to schedule a meet and greet. We will respond via email and WhatsApp.

How will the meet and greet go?

Once your application is shortlisted, we'll want to meet you to get to know you better and explore our housemate fit. If you are applying from overseas, the meeting will be virtual. If you are in town, we prefer a face-to-face meeting at the home so we can give you a tour of the room and have a chat in person.

After the meet and greet, the housemates will confer and decide if we think there's a good fit.

If all are agreed, and you also like the room and the people, we will send over our standard membership contract for your perusal and signature.

What does the membership contract cover?

The membership contract is a standard tenancy agreement that details the location and the room that you will be staying in, and the associated costs payable each month. It also specifies the terms and conditions of joining our Family Without Borders, such as house rules and potential contract violations.

Once the membership contract is delivered, you will have 24 hours to sign so that we can give a fair chance to all applicants. Once signed, a security deposit is required to execute the contract and secure your room.

Is there any credit check to apply?

No, we do not do a credit check, however we do require a few documents by law for the membership contract.
